A note about maximum occupancy

room capacity

The Board currently limits audience occupancy to 80 in the Creveling, when the the room can legally hold 316.

To calculate the occupancy limits, according to the Fire Marshall, the square footage of the room should be divided by 15 to yield the maximum occupancy when chairs and tables are set up in the room.  Using the Board’s occupancy limit, that would make the square footage of the Creveling Lounge only around 1200 square feet! (It’s closer to 4000!) Without furniture, the occupancy limit posted above the door is the limit.

The Creveling storeroom / media area contains enough chairs for 300 people should the Board wish to set up chairs for more audience members.
